Main Responsibilities:
- Researching, designing, and executing both highly specific and wide-ranging audio quality evaluation studies for handheld and wearable consumer electronic products and prototypes
- Designing, implementing, and executing subjective listening tests utilizing consumers and expert listeners
- Developing new measurement metrics and systems for novel audio features about to be introduced in next generation products
- Mapping subjective evaluation results to objective measurements using statistical tools and machine learning methods
Qualifications and Detailed Requirements:
- MSc or PhD degree in Electronics, Measurement Technology, Signal Processing, or related fields
- Minimum of 5 years of experience and proven track record in Audio Evaluation application and development
- Experience of statistical tools such as SPSS, R, or Minitab in the application of evaluation result analysis
- Experience of multichannel audio systems is an advantage
Other Relevant Skills:
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken
- Experience of feature development for audio hardware, acoustics, or signal processing
- Excellent collaboration skills and team work
Type of contract:
This is a full-time consultant position at our R&D office in Tampere, Finland. The consultant shall be employed by Huawei's supplier.
