Innovation Project Specialist
Hardware and System Laboratory is seeking an Innovation Project Specialist to drive innovation in next-generation device hardware technologies. This role will be leading collaborative research initiatives with academic and industry partners to develop breakthrough consumer device hardware technologies; Drive innovation across three key domains: thermal management, hardware simulation and material development. Shaping our technological roadmap by identifying emerging trends and translating academic research into actionable strategies.
Main Responsibilities:
- Driving Strategic Innovation Roadmaps. Defining long-term technology roadmaps, identifying opportunity areas, and aligning cross-functional teams on target outcomes and development priorities.
2. Managing Multi-Project R&D Portfolios. Planning and structuring multiple research and technology projects simultaneously, ensuring milestones, resources, and risks are clearly tracked and communicated.
3. Facilitating Cross-Team Collaboration. Connecting different business teams; organizing smooth communication and information flow; resolving coordination gaps; and ensuring shared understanding across groups.
4. Overseeing External Partnerships & University Collaborations. Identifying academic or industrial partners, managing agreements, coordinating joint research activities, and tracking deliverables and partner performance.
5. Supporting Early Concept Development & Prototyping. Assisting sourcing and technology benchmarking for early step technologies, helping to create charter & report, and managing the TC/POC project.
6. Implementing Innovation Governance & Reporting. Setting up structured review processes (e.g., progress reviews, KPIs, risk logs), preparing management-level reports, and ensuring compliance with internal procedures.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Majored in material, fluid or solid mechanics, mechanical engineering, electromagnetics, mathematics, data analysis, or AI algorithm etc.
- Be familiar with the following professional knowledge, including but not limited to: finite element analysis, numerical algorithm, machine learning, material design and process, fluid mechanics, statistics, data analysis, etc.
- Project management experience is preferred.
- Be proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or C++, love programming, and have good programming habits.
- Experience in technology scouting, competitive analysis, and translating global research trends into product applications.
- Be able to work independently and solve problems, be good at communication, be willing to cooperate, be keen on new technologies, be good at summarizing, sharing, and practicing.
