HR Specialist

Huawei Finland Research Center HR team is looking for a professional HR Specialist to join our team. As an HR Specialist, you will be responsible for a variety of HR-related activities such as onboarding & offboarding, communication and events. You will report to the HR Manager and work closely with the HR team, as well as other departments both locally and globally. Main tasks will include:

• Responsible for the day-to-day HR operations within your assigned areas of responsibility.

• Employee lifecycle management from Onboarding to Offboarding, especially new employee integration.

• Manage internal HR communications, including company newsletters, HR policy updates, and employee communications.

• Update and communicate HR policies while gathering employee feedback to support continuous improvement.

• Maintaining HR databases and other personnel records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GDPR.

• Conducting and analyzing annual staff surveys, producing clear reports and insights for managers

• Organizing and conducting HR related staff trainings together with HR team.

• Respond to employee queries and resolving issues regarding HR matters in a timely and professional manner.

• Responsible for planning, organizing, and successfully delivering internal company events.

• Support additional HR initiatives and responsibilities based on your expertise, interests, and business needs.

Qualifications & skills requirement:

• Relevant educational background: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field

• 2 – 4 years of previous experience in similar HR responsibilities preferably in the technology industry, with the ability to independently manage and take ownership of assigned areas.

• Knowledge of Finnish labor law, collective agreements (especially TIPAL), and GDPR requirements is considered an advantage.

• Excellent data management skills, with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with a wide range of cross-functional stakeholders and establish efficient processes.

• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with strong written and spoken English. Finnish language skills are considered as beneficial.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to quickly learn new HR information systems.

• Experience from working or studying in multicultural environments is considered beneficial.
