Introduction

The Handset Camera Innovation Lab is creating imaging solutions for future Huawei smartphones. We focus on innovations and strategic research on all the key areas of imaging to deliver leading camera solutions to Huawei mobile devices. We have world class expertise on camera hardware, image processing solutions and color reproduction.

Research Areas

· Camera hardware technology, including innovations in optics, camera module design, actuator technologies for both traditional camera modules as well as novel technologies.

· Photography and video image processing solutions for smartphone.

· Technologies for accurate color sensing with traditional CMOS sensors, dedicated spectral cameras and combinations of both.

· Solutions for both accurate and pleasing color processing and reproduction in Huawei mobile device, including innovations for future color processing architectures.

· Development of novel end to end imaging solutions by both optimizing traditional CMOS camera-based architectures as well as inventing totally new ways to capture images and videos.
